What’s New in the 2020 Mazda3?
The biggest update we see in the 2020 Mazda3 lineup is the standardization of Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE® safety suite. i-ACTIVSENSE® is a series of advanced safety technologies that support safe driving by helping identify potential hazards and pre-crash safety technologies which help to avoid or mitigate collisions. In the 2019 lineup, i-ACTIVSENSE® was offered on all models except for the Mazda3 Sedan Base. The change means drivers can experience elevated peace of mind from even the most basic trim level.
Standard active safety systems and features included in the now-standard i-ACTIVSENSE® safety suite include:
- Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go
- Smart Brake Support
- Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist
- High Beam Control
- Driver Attention Alert
That’s not all – Mazda slides a few other features down to the standard features roster. The Mazda3 also adds automatic on/off headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers to the standard features list.
Hatchback enthusiasts now have more reason to rejoice, as the 2020 Mazda3 Hatchback line now moves Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert to the standard features list.
