Performance Specs

All versions of the 2019 Mazda CX-9 available at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown use the same high-performing and efficient powertrain. Under the hood of the manufacturer’s largest crossover SUV is the turbocharged, SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that is attached to the SKYACTIV®-Drive six-speed automatic transmission. It will produce up to 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque with regular grade gasoline, but customers can achieve up to 250 horsepower by opting for premium grade fuel. When properly equipped, the 2019 Mazda CX-9 can record Environmental Protection Agency fuel economy scores of 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

Buyers choosing the turbocharged, four-cylinder engine option for the 2018 Atlas won’t be able to match that level of fuel economy, nor will they be able to get the same level of performance – even when using premium grade gasoline.
