Advantages of i-ACTIV AWD®
i-ACTIV® AWD is a fully autonomous AWD system that blends excellent all-road ability with outstanding fuel economy. Using a network of 27 sensors, the system monitors road conditions in real-time and watches for slight variations in wheel speed. And that’s not all — the system collects information on g-forces, driver input to the braking and steering systems, outside temperature and even windshield wiper activity. i-ACTIV AWD® then uses all that data to optimize the amount of torque being sent to each wheel. The system results in better take-off, braking, acceleration and cornering compared regular AWD systems.
