What Is the Mazda CX-5?
Sized as a compact crossover, the Mazda CX-5 also seats five but offers notably more interior space than its subcompact counterparts. This makes it a better choice for families of drivers with active lifestyles who plan on using their backseat and cargo holds often. The CX-5 offers about 10 cubic feet more cargo space than the CX-30 (totaling 30.9 cubic feet, to be exact) and 3.3 inches more legroom from the rear seat.
What Is the Mazda CX-9?
The Mazda CX-9 midsize crossover is the largest vehicle in the Mazda stable to date. It has seating for up to seven passengers (or six with the optional second-row captain’s chairs) and 14.4 cubic feet of cargo space. Passenger space is similar to what you’ll find in the CX-5, as the Mazda CX-9 offers 41 inches of front legroom, 39.4 inches of second-row legroom, and 29.7 inches of third-row legroom. Essentially, the CX-9 is the ideal choice if you want the extra seats and are willing to sacrifice some cargo space to get it.
