New 10.25-Inch Display
Arguably the most exciting of the updates in store for the 2021 Mazda CX-5 is that it upgrades its infotainment system to a larger 10.25-inch display. That’s 2 inches larger than the display that was offered in the 2020 Mazda CX-5. It runs using the latest Mazda CONNECT™ software, which is much improved over the previous infotainment interface and operated by a rotary dial. It has standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ for seamless smartphone integration on the go.
New i-ACTIVSENSE™ Safety Features
Mazda has added more available safety features this year. Both Smart City Brake Support Reverse and Driver Attention Alert are now standard on the Mazda CX-5 Signature model. The Signature’s already-standard rear parking sensors have also been updated with high-definition digital clarity
These join a long list of driver assists already standard on the Signature, including the 360° View Monitor, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane-keep Assist, High Beam Control, automatic emergency braking, and more.
New Touring Preferred Package
The all-new Touring Preferred SV Package elevates the interior of the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Touring with a long list of creature comforts like the 10-speaker Bose® audio system, leather upholstery, a sliding-glass moonroof, power liftgate, auto-dimming rearview mirror, six-way power passenger seat, and an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory function.
New Carbon Edition Package
A new Carbon Edition appearance package distinguishes the 2021 Mazda CX-5 with many of the same great features found on the Touring Preferred SV Package, plus some package-exclusive content and darkened exterior accents. Carbon Edition models get a distinct Polymetal Gray exterior paint, gloss black door mirrors, red leather seats, a black honeycomb interior, and 19-inch black metallic aluminum alloy wheels. The Carbon Edition appearance package is also available on the 2021 Mazda6 midsize sedan and the 2021 Mazda CX-9 three-row SUV.
