Starting Your Mazda with Remote Start

Step 1: Press the Function switch on your Mazda remote.  An “Engine Start” display should appear on the LCD screen once the switch is released.

Step 2: With the “Engine Start” display still showing, press the Start switch until the remote beeps.

The “Engine Start Standby” display indicates that the remote is waiting for feedback from the vehicle. This could take 8 – 10 seconds. When the remote receives a response, it indicates engine start operation success with an “Engine Start Initiated” icon and a melody.

Note: Rear Defrost will automatically activate when the cabin temperature dips to 41ºF or below.

To cancel a remote start, press the Stop switch on your key fob until it beeps.
