Which Mazda vehicles will come with smartphone integration?
When Mazda announced that it was going to retrofitting certain trims of the 2018 Mazda6 with a new infotainment system to compatible with the Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ — everyone at Gwatney Mazda of Germantown got very excited. Once we realized that the flagship sedan was going to be available with technology, our product experts almost immediately started getting questions from customers asking, ‘Which Mazda vehicles will come with smartphone integration?’ Thanks to a new information release from our manufacturing partner, we can finally answer that question a bit better. The 2019 Mazda CX-9 will join the Mazda6 in offering in-car access to this cutting-edge technology. Let’s take a look at what shoppers can expect.
2019 Mazda CX-9 trims with Android Auto™ or Apple CarPlay™
In addition to combining the native capabilities of a smartphone and the Mazda infotainment system, drivers will still be able to use a trio of popular internet radio stations, receive and respond to incoming text messages and find peace of mind with E911 automatic emergency notifications in the event it’s needed. Driver’s will be able to interact with most features and functions of the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system using steering wheel-mounted controls.
Each 2019 Mazda CX-9 that works with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ will come with a full-color 8-inch touchscreen display. Once the phone is connected via a USB cord, a driver or passenger will only need to interact with the touchscreen.
If you would like to see a full demonstration of this technology in the works, make an appointment to speak with a Gwatney Mazda of Germantown product expert today.
