CX-9 Adds Larger Display & New Infotainment Features
We didn’t expect much for the already high-tech Mazda CX-9 midsize crossover SUV this year, but Mazda remains on the upswing with some unanticipated upgrades for families to take advantage of. This year the 2021 Mazda CX-9 receives upgrades to its Mazda CONNECT™ infotainment system with a larger display and upgraded features. You can keep reading to discover more about the 2021 Mazda CX-9 infotainment system changes and what sets it apart from the outgoing system.
Just How Big Is the New Display on the 2021 Mazda CX-9?
Though it’s not due for a redesign quite yet, you’ll be able to tell when you’re behind the wheel of the latest CX-9. That’s because on top of new seat patterning, the 2021 Mazda CX-9 gets a new standard 10.25-inch screen on every single model in the lineup. That means you’ll get a larger screen regardless of whether you choose the 2021 Mazda CX-9 Sport, Touring, Carbon Edition, Grand Touring, or Signature trim level. This is the largest infotainment display to be equipped on a CX-9. On the 2019 Mazda CX-9, we saw either a standard 7-inch display or the available 9-inch screen. Clearly, this is a substantial leap for the subtly refreshed midsize crossover SUV.
New Infotainment Features on the 2021 Mazda CX-9
The new 10.25-inch display runs the latest generation of Mazda CONNECT™ technology, which includes standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capabilities. The system also adds Mazda Connected Services capabilities that give you the ability to monitor and control the Mazda CX-9 remotely via the MyMazda app with your three-year free trial, plus an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot with a three-month free trial.
