The first engine option is a SKYACTIV-G® 2.5L DOHC 4-cylinder engine. Found on Sport and Touring models, the standard engine returns up to 26 mpg in the city, 35 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg combined. The SKYACTIV-G 2.5L also produces 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. The engine links to the SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission.
The second engine offered is the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T DOHC 4-cylinder Dynamic Pressure Turbo. The turbo engine is standard on Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models, returning up to 23 mpg in the city, 31 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg combined. With that slight sacrifice in efficiency, the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T manages to vault the Mazda6 to 250 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The engine also pairs with the SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission.
Driving Range of the 2019 Mazda6
The 2019 Mazda6 also manages to earn a mean driving range between fill-ups. Packing a 16.4-gallon tank in the fold, the Mazda6 can travel up to 574 miles on a single tank of gas, meaning less time wasted at the pump.
