Tech and Interior Features
As always, the 2019 Mazda3 flashes a meticulously crafted cabin with premium materials. The crisp and simple cabin design features a modern dashboard wrapped in a leather-like material that’s soft to the touch. Embedded front-and-center in the dashboard is an 8.8-inch color display infotainment system. The updated MAZDA CONNECT™ system runs faster and smoother than before and now features standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The 2019 Mazda3 arrives more powerful than the outgoing model. In the 2018 Mazda3, a standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine delivers up to 155 horsepower and matches with a standard six-speed manual transmission. The 2018 model’s alternate engine option is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine good for 184 horsepower.
As we turn into the 2019 model year, the Mazda3 is now powered by a standard 2.5-liter SkyActiv®-G engine which delivers 186 horsepower. This means an increase of 31 horsepower from the 2018 model’s standard engine.
Available sometime late 2019, the Mazda3 lineup will also be getting a SkyActiv®-X engine option. The SkyActiv®-X engine combines characteristics of diesel and gasoline engines with a compression ignition. The Mazda3 is the first vehicle to feature this new technology, which will deliver impressive power without sacrificing fuel economy.
